Tomkins IP. is a leading Irish and European firm of Patent, Trade Mark and Design Attorneys. The firm includes Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys qualified in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Founded by Arthur Bellamy Tomkins in 1930, Tomkins IP is one of Ireland’s longest established Intellectual Property Law firms.

Case Overview

Tomkins currently employ over 40 people and have 55 managed devices. This includes desktops, laptops, servers and networking equipment. Since Netfocus began working with Tomkins in 2007, our service team has resolved over 1k tickets and investigated over 2500K system and security alerts.

Our Solution

There are four key strands to our solution.

We appointed a dedicated expert. We appointed a Customer Solutions Manager with over 15 years’ experience in Exchange, Windows Servers and Security to take ownership of the site.
More Proactive Based on our findings from the initial assessment, we upgraded the email system and firewall and removed any single points of failure within their business critical systems.
Bespoke security service We tailored a security service that provided expertise, monitoring & patch management services giving the IT manager & business owners peace of mind.
Documentation & training We documented the site and trained our service desk team so that they could provide cover and support to the IT manager when required.
